Welcome to the Autism Pack

My son Tommy was diagnosed with Autism at 4 years old. As with many parents of autistic children realising Tommy had additional needs and how we could best support him has been a journey. As a pre-school child Tommy was non-speaking, and struggled with sensory overload as well as waiting, turn taking and being able to take part in adult led activities. 

When Tommy turned 3 we were introduced to our Early Autism support worker, who introduced a number of communication and play based strategies that helped us build up Tommy's skills and allow him develop his communication and social skills.  Over 12 weeks as we all learned together we saw Tommy come on leaps and bounds. 

Unfortunately services such as these are being cut and squeezed with children now only offered 3-4 sessions. As a parent of an autistic child I have been constantly frustrated by how difficult it is to easily access resources that can help.  We have created The Autism Pack to try and bridge this gap. We aim to create fun, low cost and easily accessible packs that parents can play with there autistic child at home.

Our activity packs aim to build on skills such as waiting, turn taking, language comprehension and speech generation.  Our information packs aim to help with tips and advice for common situations that can be challenging for autistic children such a toileting and travelling. 

We hope our packs bring you and your child the opportunity to have lots fun together while helping them build their communication and social skills.
